Our client -Launch.career- is a fast-growing digital platform where employers and young graduates can get in touch and explore possible employment opportunities. The initial development of the minimum viable product was done by another vendor. Launch approached us at a time when they wanted to strengthen the MVP and turn it into a full-fledged product with the proper technical foundations to grow . We were approached by Launch.career to strengthen the technical foundations of their existing minimum viable product in order to get ready to grow the platform across Europe. Our challenge was to quickly and deeply understand prior technical implementations and make structural decisions for the road ahead.
We performed a technical audit on the existing technical setup, documenting our findings and presenting those to the Launch leadership team. After finding common ground on a rational refactoring roadmap, we implemented the proposed changes with a small but highly effective team.
We set up a blended product team consisting of their CTO together with a product manager, engineering manager and multiple software engineers from our end. Through a joint operating model we stayed aligned throughout this journey with short release cycles.
In my role as CTO it’s crucial to be able to rely on professionals who understand our technology and our business. We found an entrepreneurial partner in Panenco on both dimensions; making knowledgeable decisions in the interest of our long-term goals.
